Why? And please don't say "because".

Re: Do you believe in a multiverse?

...anyway this also relates to multiverse theory. Its strange that the density just happens to be so close to zero, that its finely tuned to this value. Any other value and the universe would be a completely different shape due to inflation. The anthropic principle suggests that there are multiple ...

Re: Do you believe in a multiverse?

Its almost flat, the critical density value is extremely close to 0. I think it has something to do with whether the universe is open or closed, open being infinite, closed being finite. i see, it's flat like a piece of paper is flat - almost flat Haha, turns out I was right! It really is just a pi...

Re: What are your religious views?

I think about it a lot and it is very interesting, all I claim is that at the moment is a wishful belief that is based in subjective experience an not fact. That simple. Well, sure. It's also wishful thinking to hope for a promotion at your job. Doesn't mean it won't happen. It doesn't mean it will...

Re: What are your religious views?

Yes I am neutral, the stronger a reason for a belief the less I run with it. I would like there to be an after life as much as anyone but I have no proof of it and I dont want to waste the time I have here trying to be a better person or whatever to seek a nice afterlife if there is one. I am livin...

Re: Do you believe in a multiverse?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shape_of_the_Universe I'm not arguing that the belief that the universe is flat is out there, but I bet in a few years the universe will be a square, or octopus shaped. Just sayin'. No. It will stay the same shape. Haha, yeah right. This is science saying this, which is...

Re: What are your religious views?

After a lifetime of LD and all manner of experiences I am yet to be convinced that anything is outside of our head, I have not said I agree of disagree but that I dont know and have no proof of anything. As for the debate that there just must be because... well no there does not need to be at all. ...

Re: What are your religious views?

Can you really imagine just not existing? Yes I can, we seem to have a distorted sense of self in most areas and a need to believe in an afterlife but this does not make it fact. Also all paranormal experiences are experienced in a living body and so not sure about what effect death will have on th...

Re: What are your religious views?

Yeah, that's understandable. Then again, it's against the law to attempt suicide, so really, they don't have a choice (Well, technically, they'll always have a choice, but as far as the law is concerned, they don't). I mean, if someone's in a coma, it's different, but if they just hate their life, ...
