Re: What Should I Try Next...

Most of you are making it seem like I'm some kind of control freak. I didn't mean to sound that way, no offense was intended. I just meant that letting your subconscious run wild, and not trying to manipulate the dream, may allow it to show you something unexpected and surprising. This could, in it...

Re: What Should I Try Next...

You should try just letting the dream happen, and enjoy being there inside it. I don't understand why anyone would want to do all this "controlling". How much enjoyment can you get from a movie you wrote, directed, produced, and filmed yourself? Watching it is kind of...pointless, isn't it...

Re: New to lucid dreaming so bear with me... :D

Well, for starters you can just go ahead and believe it. It has been scientifically proven beyond any doubt, and there are millions of people who do it regularly. Just keep reading about it (the website attached to this forum is an excellent place to start) and learn as much as you can. There is no ...

Re: Hello from Psychosanity

My efforts to improve my dream recall are really paying off! Last night I remembered not one, not two, but THREE dreams. This is unprecedented! So...in approximately 1 week, I have gone from remembering maybe 1 dream a year (at best) to having remembered about 5 this week. I was confident I would im...

Re: Hello from Psychosanity

Took a nap today, and Bingo! Finally remembered some dream. Besides writing it down in my journal, is there anything else I can do to kinda positively reinforce this recall? Reward my subconscious in some way for remembering, so it will be more prone to do it more often? Sounds odd, I know...I'm sti...

Ages

Hi all, new LD enthusiast here.

Have dedicated myself to learning to LD recently, and have become active on the forums here.
I'm curious, how old are some of the more active members here? Any of you as old or older than me?
I am 41. (ya, I'm a little late to the ball.)

Re: Meditation Impossible

I do drink a fair amount of coffee in the morning, and sometimes a cup in the early evening. No trouble sleeping, however. Had the same coffee intake for about 20 years now, so I would think it is the 'norm' for me at this point. Haven't read anything (so far) that says coffee hurts LD or dream reca...

Re: My first two lucid dreams.........

I think the OP is confused about what a lucid dream is. 'Lucid' does not mean 'vivid'. You just had some vivid nightmares. 'Lucid' refers to being CONSCIOUSLY AWARE that you are dreaming, WHILE you are in the dream. Your descriptions make it pretty clear that you were NOT aware you were dreaming. In...

Re: Meditation Impossible

Well, I do have a journal all primed up and ready to go...next to the bed, pencil at hand. I just don't have anything to put in it yet. I try to stay positive, though...so I am CERTAIN I will have something to write in there tomorrow! For now, I am trying to meditate at least once a day, doing reali...
