Re: 5 Years of lucid dreaming

Cool post. What is it like to have that disorder? Do you often wake up tired?
Do you feel limited in your lucid dreams?

Re: Do Reality Checks Require Physical Gestures?

You can do quite a few, maybe even just looking at a clock and asking yourself, am I dreaming? Or looking down at your hands for a second and making sure you have 10 fingers.

Re: Spinal Cord Injury cure

Hey, welcome to the forum. I'm really sorry to hear about your injury.
Lucid dreaming can definitely give you freedoms that might limit you in the physical world. You might not walk in reality, but you'll fly in your dreams.

Re: Greetings! From a Indian Weirdo

Welcome. You sound a lot like me when I was 17.
Make time for meditation, it is hard to focus but it helped me deal with my nihilism and be more accepting with life. I think you'll get a lot out of it.

Nails through the Skull, Lost in the Rain

Walking down my hallway at my childhood home, surrounded by my mother, father and brother. I see my cat walk by, and notice a very dark ambience to the hall. To me, it almost seems that the top of the hall was skewed away from me, stretching into eternity. This didn't instill dread in me like it sou...

Re: Dream Snacks

Neat. Dreams that are more than just visual/auditory are always interesting. It is amazing that the brain can trick us into believing we are tasting, smelling, or even feeling something.

The worst is when you have those nightmares where you feel pain.

Re: Hello.

Welcome. To answer your question, no. Unfortunately astral planes aren't real. Your best bet is to ask her in reality, since dreams only take place within your own head. Just be confident man! If you love her, she will have to love you for who you are in order for it to work out. Be yourself, and be...

Re: Problem with prolongening LDs

It's just practice. The excitement is enough to disrupt your sleep cycle or dream state. Keep practicing and eventually you'll learn to control your emotions and reach a point where you have control of the situation.

Re: Lucid dreaming and the real-world human body

Lucid dreaming can be used for this, but often I've found it takes a lot of practice to attain lucidity where you can practice reality skills. It's more important to deal with these things in reality if you can, and save lucidity for more fun and explorative things.

Re: My first stable lucid dream.

That's so cool. It brings me joy to imagine your reaction when you attained that lucidity and just laid there in amazement. It reminds me of the first few very lucid dreams I had. Honestly, you may have motivated me to try harder. Recently, reality has been clouding my dreams and I haven't been able...
