Dream Within a Dream?: First Lucid Dream

I had my first lucid dream last night (really this morning). It consists of a dream inside a dream. It is not like Inception with layers, but I recall a dream that I had within the dream's timeline.

THE DREAM
I recall a dream I had. I am inside a stadium assisting with a Catholic mass (I am not Catholic nor religious). I am walking behind a bishop or priest in the stadium while we head towards the stairs that lead to the stadium's seating. Once I sit beside someone I know from my school, the bishop/priest calls me out for doing something incorrectly, although in a lighthearted manner. The mass-goers laugh and the kid beside me slaps me on the back.

I am in the same stadium, recalling this dream. I am with two of my friends sitting in the back of the stadium. We are discussing dreams when a cynical girl in front of me says "Dreams aren't real ya know." I disagree with her negative mindset.
I am now in a different place entirely. It is a rectangular room with two doors on either side of the same wall, the wall being the longer side of the rectangle. There is a couch and other furniture located in the middle of the room, so to travel from one door to the next, you must walk around all of the furniture. There is a T.V. mounted in the right corner of the room, directly in front of the right door. The T.V. is playing infomercials. I am standing in the left doorway. I have a gun in my hand for some reason. I notice the gun is now a completely different model, now a silver handgun of some sort.

I spontaneously become lucid. I shoot the gun at a wall but it is quiet and uninteresting, so I toss it to the side. I perform a reality check by telling myself "If I can breath through my plugged nose, I am dreaming." I already knew I was dreaming, I wanted to see what it was like to breath through my nose. I do this and my breathing is not effected at all. I find this surreal, but do not dwell on it. Although I performed a reality check, the vividness is not increased, it is still foggy. I then look to the T.V. I head over to it and decide to jump into it. I am stopped right before the T.V. fills my perspective and I am pulled down by a dream character. This character is a person I have seen in waking life at my school. I have the feeling that he is looking out for me, that it is in my best interest to not see what is on the other side of the now blue screened T.V. The character then continues to go out of the right door.

I recall that I wanted to travel to a beach by spawning a door. I turn from facing the open door the character went through, to the T.V. and say, "There is a door behind me." When I turn around I see that the open door was replaced by a closed door. I then continue, "Behind this door there is a beach." I open it and it leads to a house that is decorated for Christmas. It was snowing inside the house. I do not enter. I turn around and again spawn a door. While saying "There is a door behind me," I turn and see that a new door pops into place, replacing the previous door I spawned. I open the door, but it again leads to the Christmas house. I wake up.

Afterthoughts
I think that even though I achieved little, that I have learned a lot and am greatly intrigued. I now want to discover what is in that T.V. I want to ask the character why he stopped me, was I going to see something I'm not supposed to? I have also learned that the first thing I should do is stabilize the dream, and I should have been more aware of my surroundings. This dream is twice as long as the other dreams I have recorded in my journal. I'm elated that I finally achieved this. I previously tried to have a LD, and recorded my dreams in 2016 and early 2017. I quit but picked it back up this weekend, so it has only been a few days since I got back into it. I doubt that I'll quit again now that I know I can do it.

Congratulations on your first lucid dream! It already sounds incredibly advanced. What other procedures do you do besides dream journalling?
It would be really cool if you could keep us updated on your progress!

Thanks! I started practicing basic meditation with binaural beats. I don't know the veracity of binaural beat benefits, but it helps calm and focus me. I attempt to be aware during most of the day, kind of like all day awareness. I do this by asking myself "Where am I and where was I before this?" when performing reality checks. I read and watch videos about lucid dreaming before going to bed to make me think about it, I guess like self-suggestion. I try to read over my dream journal if I have time since I have less than 20 entries so far. One last thing I think helps is that I talk to people in waking life about dreams. I told my LD to several people who I knew would be interested.
I got most of these ideas from Are you Dreaming? by Daniel Love and Team Lucid Dream videos.

Thanks for your reply! That's some great insight!

Yay! Great first LD! Why do you think the dream gave you a Christmas house instead of a beach? I once had an LD where I asked for dream pizza around the corner and the dream gave me boxes of cereal. I was like, good enough for me! Once I spun and asked to be teleported to the most beautiful place ever and I then I was surrounded by neon pictures of cats for a moment then woke up LOL

It's been a while but I had my second lucid dream. Still forgot to stabilize the dream, but I spawned a dream character. I couldn't think of anyone so I chose Leonardo DiCaprio because of Inception. I visualized him in my mind's eye and attempted several times to spawn him around a corner but failed. I chose a different random character, Bob from Bob's Burgers (I don't watch that show so idk why.) I spawned him and first he was fuzzy but when I touched him, he became clear.
