i dreamt that i was in a warzone, fully engaged in combat. i threw a grenade over a little wall and ran for it. Seeing a tank of the enemy and realizing i had no weapons left, i hid behind tank wreck, bullets flying everywhere. Through a crack, i see an enemy foot soldier coming my way. Realizing i'm defenceless i just say: "whatever, shoot me, mofo...". So he does and i feel the bullets but i feel a strange pain sensation, not really pain, but a numbness. I always get that feeling when i die in my dreams. Also, when i die in a dream, i tend to wake up. But this time, in the proces of dying in my dream and waking up IRL, i realized that i was dreaming. I don't think this counts as a lucid dream as i think i was more awake then asleep when i realized it.
Something weird happened to me though: while awake with my eyes closed, i saw spheres rapidly appearing, growing and dissapearing again. Kinda like rain drops falling into a pond.
I was rather flabberghasted by this sensation so i forgot about my dream. I think this was a missed opportunity to try and become lucid. Maybe if i tried to remember my dream and remembering the point where i die and think of another way the story ends, i may have had a good chance of becoming lucid.
i think i had the same thing this night, but i didnt know i was dreaming. I just woke, realized that i woke up from a dream, still remembering the dream, and saw strange shapes rapidly appearing, changing shapes and dissappearing in front of me. I tried to just keep calm, keep focus and observe them. This was very hard as i had trouble keeping my eyes closed, though, and my eye lids were shaking like crazy. So couldn't help but focus on keeping them closed, rather than on the things i was seeing.
Pretty bummed by this.
What should i try to do when this happens again?
