your views are very black and white. for a mental exercise what if you partner likes porn or was in the porn industry but their own choice. This is a mental exercise so no negative thoughts allowed all willing and consented and happy

where is the cheating outside of your beliefs

this was a mental exercise and all current beliefs need to be suspended for no more than an instant so was curious to see what you made of it. I do this sort of thing all the time just for the fun of seeing something in a new way. Anyway all good and some people must like it, the porn industry is bigger that Hollywood.

The funny thing is, I don't even watch that much porn. Only when friends occasionally send it to me. You ever tried cocaine, nes? I have. In a social environment, pure charlie is definitely more addictive (speaking from personal experience). I never chased it because it's dear and I don't think I have an addictive personality. Not that much. I also quit smoking ages ago without any aids.

Name one person in this world without an addiction?

Even a Buddhist Monk, who spends their entire life ridding themselves of all desires fails to realize they have become addicted to meditation as their form of escapism.
If we all lucid dreamed this world would be a better place.

That is incorrect, Hagart. They do not need to escape from something, that's why.

Try and get one to stop and give it up. They can't. They're addicted to their way of life just like anyone else.

(Besides, isn't Nirvana escaping an endless cycle of rebirth? All they want to do is escape this harsh reality.)

They can, because they have already done it once with letting go of easiness and practicing a new way. They don't do that because they are addicted, but because they try to find something.

Exactly! That doesn't prove addiction, but desire. Don't you think?

I see where we are not seeing eye to eye. I was referring to nesgirl's definition of addiction.

(I agree that there is a HUGE difference between addiction and desire. I'd like for her to think about it.)

Do you agree then, if I have sexual dreams from time to time, not ALL the time, then it's a perfectly normal, safe desire, not addiction and in no way harming anyone? Do I have your permission?

(I may have stumped you with that because although painful to admit, by your logic, the only answer should be, 'yes'.)
