I keep falling asleep trying to do a WILD

Postby JassieKaren » 03 Sep 2015 04:21

I got my first LD about 5-6 months ago and I've been failing to get one. I've tried the WILD technique and I actually went into sleep paralysis once but before I can imagine a scene or be in a dream I always tend to fall asleep, does anyone know why or How I can avoid to do so?

Sounds like you need to practice meditation and getting into deep states without falling asleep or try non WILD techniques. Falling asleep rather then having a LD can also be due to trying to do a WILD when too tired (so its harder to hold focus to get into the right state), you could try to do this instead during an afternoon nap when less tired.

You could try to sleep in a position that you're not very comfortable with, to prevent to fall asleep faster.
For exemplo, for it's sleeping on my back. I take much more time to fall asleep and sometimes a WILD pops up.
