I love blackened death metal. In fact, I love both metal genres in their purity. Darkthrone, Marduk and Immortal are two of my favourite bands. I also love Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse and Deicide on the death side. I've never heard of Haiduk, though. Perhaps I'm a little old school and need to get with the program. I still enjoy Slayer's 'Reign in Blood'; that album will never get old for me ... 8-)

Hey, right on Summerlander.

Hmm let's see, Darkthrone I was never a fan of because of their basic/simplistic approach. Marduk are pretty good, I love the energy and aggression. Immortal would be my fav of those 3, they just nail that 'cold, wintery' sound and image and have the best guitar riffs of the 3 mentioned.

Morbid Angel, old stuff is very good, most recent stuff sucks. For Cannibal Corpse it's the opposite. Deicide are absolutely brilliant with riffing and song structures and hooks, just wish their old albums had better production. That's my $0.02.

'Reign in Blood' - probably the most bad ass thing to come out in '86.

Haiduk - ‘DemonicoN’ copies (CD) still available.

Your descriptions of their music are fair, I'd say. 8-)
