Mudvayne

Postby Summerlander » 16 Jun 2016 15:58

I love the sound of this phenomenal band. Very 'mathematical' and often incorporating two genres of music I'm very fond of: jazz fusion and heavy metal. I don't know of any other metal band with a bass sound as loud as theirs and I love the creative face paint they wear.

I've learned to play 'Dig' on my electric and just figured out how to play 'Cultivate' on my acoustic. Is there anybody here into Mudvayne or any other bands? I've also been listening to Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer and the latest album by Megadeth lately ... 8-)

first and foremost, Revocation. then animals as leaders.
meshugga, Death, cloudkicker, gojira, stealing axion..

i would absolutely recommend any man woman and child to hear the song, cosmic sea by Death.

I love jazz, too! Miles Davies, Charlie Parker, Dizzie Gillespie ...

And Death is an awesome band, too. I've got two of their albums. 'Scream Bloody Gore' and I can't remember the other one. It's fucking great! :-D

I'm very cliche in my metal tastes. I like kORN, some of Marilyn Manson ("Antichrist Superstar" and "Holywood" are among some of the best albums ever made, in my opinion, but most of the rest of his music is garbage), and Slipknot. I'll give Mudvayne a listen.

I like Korn, in particular the old stuff. Slipknot has always fascinated me, anyway. I like the 'knot's underground metal influence. Mudvayne is like marmite---you will either love it or hate it; their old stuff is quite experimental as opposed to their more commercialised recent sounds. 8-)

I love Puscifer. It's different. The music may appeal more to Tool and A Perfect Circle fans, but I think most metalheads will love the animation. 8-)
