Stuck in Hypnagogia - Help

Postby Tempus71 » 26 Jul 2016 22:15

Hello I've been extremely tired lately sleeping 12+ hours and waking up in
a hypnagogic / dreamlike state. I don't have any sleep paralysis or hallucinations.
I woke up at noon today, now it's 5:13 Pm, and I'm still 'hypnagogic'.
( Is that even a word? ) It's unpleasant and very inconvenient.

Any advice please?!

It's a dream-like state where I feel very drowsy with
the cloudiness of a non-lucid ( or vivid ) dream.

It's a struggle to wake up and get ready for work because of the mental fog.

It's not as simple as being tired where I could just take
a cold shower and a cup of coffee to snap myself out of it.

I'm not even sure if hypnagogia is the right word for it.
But it's a dream-like state. You can see it in my eyes, it's like I'm detached.

if you suffer a serious sleep deprivation, these won't snap you out of it either.

another serious question, are you on or have you used any drugs or medicine ?

the drowsy feeling & cloudiness are probably caused by your extreme tiredness.
extreme tiredness can bring some weird side effects.

do you have any idea what might have caused your deprivation ?

how does the rest of your brain function ?
as usual, or do you tend to forget things lately,
or you take longer then usual to do math problems ? ( just examples, you know best what has changed)
