The year was 2015 and after a series of minor disasters starting with my dad’s suicide, a protracted divorce, getting fired and doing battle with an intergalactic demon that tried to eat my brains (ok - I made that last one up), I found myself staring up at the stars and wondering just what exactly is the point of this bizarre game we play as we hurtle through space at 67,000 miles per hour on a rotating ball of rock populated mostly by worms and microscopic water bears.
The answer of course was not forthcoming.
But it was becoming more and more apparent that if I didn’t do something more interesting with my life than shuffling electrons in a giant sandcastle at the mercy of the tyrannical stranger who called himself my ‘boss’, then it wouldn’t be long before I shuffled unwittingly off the other end and into eternity without much to show for myself when arriving at the pearly gates other than a goofy smile and a long list of paper with the word ‘regrets’ at the top.
So I decided to grow a beard.
And become a lucid dreamer.
After contemplating upon opening a juice bar, buying out the local post office – and even making my own range of those little candles set inside old beer glasses – I eventually decided to purchase this web site. It’s an unusual career choice you might say, but then I’m a rather unusual person.

I don’t claim to be a lucid dreaming expert – and I’d look twice at anybody that does.
Your dreams aren’t something that anybody has custodianship over.
They’re inside each and every one of us and are there ripe for the taking – if we just reach out and make the effort to grasp them.
As we learn how to lucid dream and become more aware as we sleep, we also become more aware during our waking lives. Lucidity is something that can help us all to live deeper and more meaningful existences.
To temper our egos and be less judgemental of others;
To explore our subconscious behaviours and what fuels our anxieties and neuroses;
To drive self-improvement and assist us in reaching our goals;
To become more mindful of our lives and live at peace with the world around us.
There is no rule book that says lucid dreaming must be done in a certain way. Or that it has to be viewed with a certain perspective!
These experiences can be deeply personal or profound and mean different things to different people.
Remember, science is a useful tool that helps us to make sense of the world that we live in (and the world’s that we don’t). But it is only one of many lens on a set of eyes that may not even be capable of taking in the true underlying light of cosmic existence.
As I like to say, truth is often stranger than fiction!
So, explore yourselves and explore the World of Lucid Dreaming! Stay happy, and keep an open mind.
This website is a wonderful place to be. It has the most unique and lively set of articles on lucid dreaming ever written. Read them.
