August 2011, Auckland - World of Lucid Dreaming has launched an exciting new digital product teaching the scientifically proven skill of lucid dreaming to beginners.
Lucid dreaming is the ability to become conscious and self-aware within the dream state. It is a proven sleep state popularized (and somewhat fictionalized) by the blockbuster movie, Inception, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Today there are millions of lucid dreamers in the world and millions more who seek to "wake up" in their dreams...
The new course, entitled the Lucid Dreaming Fast Track, focuses on the act of becoming lucid in your dreams and mastering control over the conscious dream world. It is packed with lucid induction techniques, in-dream challenges and expert insights.
"We all have the natural ability to lucid dream," says Rebecca Casale, founder of the World of Lucid Dreaming website and creator of the course.
"We all dream every night - it's essential to healthy brain functioning - and most people are actually quite good at remembering their dreams. Lucidity is sparked by becoming conscious in your dreams, just as you are during waking hours. So it simply combines two normal things we do every single day."
The result? An amazing virtual reality world, where everything looks and feels as vivid as waking life. "This state of heightened awareness tells us a lot about human perception," Rebecca says, "and just how powerful the human brain really is."
About The Lucid Dreaming Fast Track
In this online interactive course, readers are educated about the world of sleep and dreaming, and encouraged to remember their dreams in more detail. They are presented with numerous step-by-step tutorials for inducing lucid dreams on demand. The course also covers plenty of dream control techniques and ponders the implications of having direct access to the dreaming unconscious.
The course includes four audio tools to encourage lucid dreaming through self hypnosis and meditation. "The hypnosis is special because it's based on a guided meditation technique that I regularly use to go lucid," Rebecca says. "Now I can pass this experience on to other dreamers... something I'm really excited about. I also love the background music - it's really haunting but in a beautiful way!"
Of the meditation routines, Rebecca says: "Guided meditation has played a key role in my life since I was a teenager, enabling me to access profound states of awareness and fast track my lucid dreaming skills. I encourage students to combine this with my step-by-step visualization tutorials to supercharge the effect."
