What is Brainwave Entrainment?
This technology goes by many names: brainwave synchronization, binaural beats, isochronic tones, whole brain functioning. They all work in much the same way.
Brainwave entrainment tunes your brainwaves into a particular frequency. This affects your level of consciousness - from alert beta, to creative alpha, to deep meditation theta (the place where you gain subconscious insights).
It works using a frequency following response, which is a naturally occurring phenomenon where the human brain adjust its EEG frequency towards what it detects externally. Usually this involves listening to white noise, but most modern entrainment recordings disguise it with raindrops, thunder, gongs and other pleasant sounds, so the final recording is deeply relaxing to the listener.
What Does it Feel Like?
When both hemispheres of the brain become synchronized, you can be automatically taken down into lower operating states of awareness. This happens every night as you fall asleep - only this time you are consciously aware of it!
This state is somewhat like hypnosis or deep meditation. It feels wonderful. Your awareness leaves your body so you can float freely in your subconscious world, which may contain anything you want.
